Sunday Insight Video: How to Free Yourself from Negative Thinking

Have you noticed that the voice in your head is often negative and punishing?

And no matter what mental trickery and positive affirmations you use, some mental patterns just don’t go away.

How much of your life is spent in worry or stress and how much is spent in joy and inner peace?

Most stress is not based on what is actually happening outside of you, but rather what is happening in your brain and the inner conversations you have with yourself.

The question is, where do those negative thoughts and memories come from?

In my 20 years of working in energy medicine at the Rhys Thomas Institute of Energy Healing, and in my 4 Dimensional Healing system, the answer to that is not as simple as brain researchers and psychologists would have you believe. Memory is not simply held in the brain; the entire energy body has a memory, too.

What if I told you that those negative thoughts are not coming from your brain but from blocks in your energy field? And when you heal the energy body, those thoughts disappear like they were never there.

In 2004, Psychology Today magazine found that an estimated 59 million people in the US alone had received mental health treatment over the previous two years. More than half take prescription drugs. That is 20% of the population who are seeking professional help for mental patterns in their heads, i.e. relief from the negative voice that seems to pop into their heads over and over again.

What about the other 80% that are coping? How many are plagued by being stressed by a harsh inner critic, or a punishing inner judge that remembers past failures and traumas more than present moment possibilities? And what about coping through self-medication with alcohol or shopping or over-working – is that really coping?

How would you like to take back the power from your thoughts permanently?

What would your life be like if the thoughts that popped into your head were things like, “I love my life,” “People are fun and amazing,” “This is so much fun!” or “I can do anything I put my mind to.”
